Edit uploaded photo's location

Hej,

I have uploaded some photos of Google street view. However, I see that the locations are not correct even though I had the GPS turned on. They are close in the same area but the wrong order or place of photos. I could have edited it a bit before posting them. But is it possible to edit them after posting? I accidently hit PUBLISH while I was fixing all the location edits. Had about 35 photos to fix location for.

I have been searching for a few hours now on Youtube, Google, Local guides but not finding the exact info that I need.

Thanks for your help.

Yes @RakelA

You can edit location from your STV app.

Go to your profile and select Photo. Click on three dots. Select edit location option and change location.

As @NareshDarji already told you, editing the Map listing of a 360 photo is extremely simple with the Street View App.

A detailed description can be found on the Street view help page. On Publish and connect 360 photos with the Street View app , scrolling down you can read:

Add to a Maps listing

  1. Open the Street View app
  2. Under “Profile” or “Private,” below a photo not tied to a Maps listing, tap Add a Maps listing.
  3. See a list of nearby places, or search for specific place.
  4. Tap the Maps listing that you want to update.

The procedure is simple, and is automatically updated also on Google maps in just a few minutes

Hi @RakelA ,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Since @ErmesT gave you informative and useful answer to your query, I will mark his comment as a solution. More information on solutions is available in this article.

I can see I didnt explain myself well enough. I took 36 photos around one large building. Only a few photos show up on GSV although I did publish all 36.

Also the amount of photos differ if I look at the app on my phone or if I look on a PC.

The blue dots is what I want to move to the correct place. I walked a straight line in front of the building. Some of the photos publish side by side and this is not correct. I can edit the location but that is very broad edit. I need to move the Blue dots to the correct corner of the building or post. I was never in the parking lot taking photos as it shows on Google. I was able to move the dots before publishing. But can I move them after publishing? Or do I need to delete them and republish with the correct spot? Also why are not all the photos publishing?

Hi @RakelA

Uploading the photos again will not help you, because tha photos will land in the same position.

What you need to do is to move the photos, one by one, in the correct position. This can be done on the street View App. The link is the same already shared with you: Publish and connect 360 photos with the Street View app

Just check: Optional: Move, rotate, and resize 360 photos

Thanks for the help. I have been trying for a few days now to fix it. My android phone doesn’t show the 3 dots to move and edit things. But I found it on the iPad… there is the only place I am able to edit my photos. If I try to select s blue dot on the map from my android phone it shows up at the bottom “Street view not available” is this not all a bit odd? Android and iPad don’t show the same 360 photos…
