Eu gostaria de esclarecer a minha primeira dúvida. Eu realizo pequenas edições em minha cidade natal, quanto a existência de locais. Entretanto, uma boa parte delas não é aplicada. Eu gostaria de saber quais são os motivos, em geral, pelos quais essas edições nem sempre são aceitas, em especial, a de duplicatas.
Esse marcador, é uma clara duplicata deste. O nome da duplicata não coincide ao marcador principal apenas pela concatenação do nome do parque ao nome da cidade, mas eu acredito que dê para perceber a semelhança entre os nomes, por exemplo.
Há diversos outros marcadores que são duplicados, mas a edição não é aplicada nunca. São eles:
Eu já tentei, por diversas vezes, removê-los e uma mensagem informando que as edições não são aplicadas aparece em questão de segundos, como se, por alguma razão, as edições tivessem sido avaliadas de qualquer maneira.
Merging places is the most difficult and time consuming edit to get approved. And they are very rarely approved instantly. Often it takes a week or or more to get places aligned before a merge is accepted.

If we don’t have this clear in mind, we will probably try to do something that in our mind is correct but in fact it is not.
Let’s try first of all to analyze what we have in front of us:
On your first example you say “Esse marcador, é uma clara duplicata deste”
No, it is not, @emmanuel_arankar . The first link shared by you is a square, a geographical location on the Map Layer of Google Maps. The second one is a city park, (Point of interest) that is located in the square (geographical location)
On your second example you are showing a Presbyterian church and a place with a similar name, but different category, located on a different address, and already closed. It will be impossible to merge the two places, because category and address are not matching, and one is already closed. If you want to try a merge in there, you should first of all make an edits to match categories and locations, and only when your changes are approved, you may try to merge them again
On the third example there is a link to a search compared with a church. Not sure if the second link is the one you want to share, or if it is a mistake.
The fourth case is exactly like the first one (a geographical location, and a park located in there)
As a general answer, an edit to be applied need to be:
Consistent, in term of integrity of data (you cannot merge two places with different characteristics)

Ou seja, em outras palavras, para que a edição seja aplicada todas as informações tem de ser identidades, correto? Obrigado por ter tirado um tempo para analisar todas as edições que eu tentei fazer e não consegui realizá-las.
Eu tenho outra dúvida para você, antes que, eu abra outro post. O que ocorreu foi que, como eu não consegui remover os marcadores justificando como duplicatas, eu escolhi outras opções. Uma delas foi que o local não existe (de fato, não existem duas igrejas de mesmo nome, no mesmo local). No entanto, outra opção que eu selecionei, foi a de que o local estava fechado permanentemente.
A minha dúvida é a seguinte: eu deveria reabrir o local e tentar remover pelo modo mais adequado (selecionar a opção “duplicata”), ou devo deixar da forma como está? Eu sei que, depois de um tempo, o marcador some do mapa, mas quando alguém pesquisar pelas palavras-chave, ele pode reaparecer.
The answer is in your question @emmanuel_arankar : only one church exist.
Of course is up to you choosing to try a merge, not necessarily re-opening it. What is important is that categories, address, and possibly names should match, before to try a new merge. Small edits, to make individually, but to do this the place have to be reopened.
The option is to flag the place as “not existent”. As the POI only have one photo and zero reviews, it will not be a big issue
