This was my getaway- located about 12 kms from a the town of Murwillumbah - NSW, the Govardhana Temple and ISKCON farm is a beautiful thriving farming community of about 50 families.The address of the place is 525 Tyalgum Road, Eungella, NSW. It is a border town, closer to Gold Coast, about 45 mins drive. I reason I went there was to attend a community event called “Sacred Sound Festival”, which is a four day Music event consisting of chanting of Hare Krishna Mantra. Apart from this, I being a lover of nature and wildlife, took this opportunity to visit some of the near by places like, Mount Warning or Mount Wollumbin, which is one of the tallest mountains in Australia reaching a height of 1156 mtrs.I fell in love with the amazing tall trees, beautiful Cloud filled Mountain top which is considered sacred place to the Indigenous people of tribe “Bundjalung People”. I also visited Byron Bay to see its beautiful Beaches and enjoy the food.Sadly, missed viewing the amazing moon rise which is unique to this place. Apart from this, the Farm where I stayed had some amazing views and ambiance. Truly, a amazing weekend of unwinding, spiritual enrichment, peace and harmony with self. This time, I did not stop at Gold Coast for visit to theme parks etc but, kids did not complain. In fact they had great time experiencing the nature and a time without their electronic gadgets like I-pad or Mobile.
