Durga Puja is always the greatest festival in West Bengal, India. Generally it is being organized in the month of October as per Hindu Lunar Calendar. Goddess Durga is being worshiped for 5 days Sasti, Saptami, Astami, Nabami and Dasami. Dasami is alao known as Dasera in all over India. As per Hindu mythology Ramayana on this day Lord Ram killed the evil of Lanka Rawan. That is why this is being celebrated as victory of evil over good. Nowadays the ritual is being celebrated like an idol of Rawan is being created with fire crackers and then it is being hit by an arrow with flame.

I saw the guys that are dancing, is this some traditional dance? And on the other photo the people are holding something in their hands and it looks like there is a fire inside, can you tell me what is this?
Hi @MoniV
Yes this is our traditional dance of Durga puja.
Yes that one is something used at the time of worshipping goddess Durga. It is made out of clay. During the worship we put the dry coconut shell into the pot and set fire into it. Those coconut shells generate heavy smoke which is being trusted as a holy thing in durga puja
