- I noticed today that I had several duplicate photos (2) when I tag a dish or post photos when prompted to do so in Google maps right after I have taken them. When I go a to write a review, the photos don’t show up so I have posted some again. There seems to be some lag time in the app. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this problem with my account? (I have already gone through a lot of them and deleted the duplicate with less views)

@Laura-Ike Hi I too faced same problem. As far as I know there is no quick fix for this situation. You can either let them be or go to your contributions page and delete one by one.

I have the same problem and can be asked to upload the same or similar photos some time after I posted. I put a post in the ideas section in local guides connect and if enough people see this as a problem they may be able to do something about it.

Thanks, I have that problem too. And it seems the Beta version does not connect with Google Maps at all. I guess that is why the need all the Local Guides’ help.

Hello @Laura-Ike take into account that photos take some time to be published on Google Maps.
You’ll have to delete them manually, by going to your contributions page and remove the duplicates.
By the way, I relabeled your post to How-tos, as it fits better there.

@Laura-Ike I noticed sometimes when i go back from the page after posting something, the page comes and prompt me to Submit again… I guess it may be the case that you are posting it again…
