Anyone can provide clues on how to resolve problems. However, queries related policy matters need answers from Google Moderators.
BTW: I find this to be your first post.
Though you can ask a question in an ongoing thread, other users may miss that. Thus, it is better to create a new post here in How-tos and ask solutions to problems.
If that happens to be a duplicated one, the moderators will merge that in the ongoing thread, later on.
However, it is sorry to see that you wish to quit the program. If you can mention the reasons, others can offer some remedial action.
Nevertheless, if you have decided to do so, reach the webpage https://maps.google.com/localguides/home/settings and then select exit the program.

Para salirse del programa de guías locales puedes pulsar los enlaces que amablemente nos han compartido @MortenCopenhagen y @C_T que te llevan a una ventana donde abajo a la derecha tienes la opción de pulsar el botón que pone “Salir del Programa” y Google eliminará tu perfil de Local Guides y las funciones y datos que de él dependen.
¿O quizás te refieras a sólo salirte de este blog donde intercambiamos información los Guías Locales del Mundo (localguidesconnect) y seguir con las contribuciones de Google Maps?

Would you be kind to explain how to leave the Local Guides Connect blog vs deleting your contributions to Google Maps.
I thought that the exit the program link mentioned above will remove you from Connect and not delete your maps contributions. Or maybe it is the translation that is imperfect.

That is correct @MortenCopenhagen @AlejandraMaria leaving the program does not delete your content. You have to do that one at a time if you want to do it. You can delete your reviews and photos but not edits, answers or other contributions.

@MortenCopenhagen , I was asking @Israelhdz if he wants to leave Local Guides Connect or The Local Guides Program, because it´s not exactly the same, just to be sure of what he wants to do because If you want to leave Local Guides Connect you have to go to your settings and choose this option:
So you can close your account on LocalGuidesConnect and continue being a Local Guides and making contributions on Google Maps.
Am I ok @PaulPavlinovich ?

What makes it extra confusing is that the Connect exit is done on a maps.google.com url.
