Dubai the city with the perfect brightness for a Local Guide camera lens

The first night when I arrived in Dubai after having had more than 24 hours travel from Colombia through the stops I had to make in Paris and Istanbul I finally saw the beautiful place I was arriving at, a place full of tall and incredible buildings that reflected the first face of an ostentatious life of wealthy people in the middle of the desert.

That day began the most risky adventure I’ve ever done in my life, going to a place so far away being me Colombian and not having a single person known there, I only had the information of where I was going to study English and also where I would stay the first month, but all this mixture of feelings were nothing more than the human fear of facing the unknown, of feeling far away from loved ones and all the culture that I had known and had around me all my life.

It was the first welcome face to an Arab country where my Latin features reflected where I came from and so the kindness and valuable people I met on the other side of this world looked at me in surprise.
It was Dubai the city I had always dreamed of knowing, that futuristic city that I could now see with my own eyes, that dazzled me with the tallest building in the world the Burj Khalifa, that made me feel as tiny as another grain of sand in the desert.

The lights of the night reflected the modernity and the Arab style with American influence that so predominates in Dubai, to see each person dressed in their suits for men called thawb or suriyah, which in summer is white cotton and in winter dark wool, also, they accompany it with a turban or keffiyeh that they wear on their head, representing one of the Arab symbols. And women with niqab, shayla, khimar or burka among others.

That was Dubai, the city with unique hotels in the world like the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah built on an artificial island, a landmark of modern architecture in the Middle East.
Dubai opened my eyes to the luxuries, to the incredible cars more expensive on the ground parked in the street like any other, with huge highways and a raised meter with a view of the whole city enviable, Dubai was built to impact, to show us how far we humans can go when money is not a limit, where the most incredible and largest show in the world of dancing fountains to the rhythm of Arab music left me one of the most beautiful memories of the United Arab Emirates.
Dubai offers its tourists and residents the possibility to marvel at the yachts in Dubai Marina where you can park the yacht and enter the apartment and then leave in your Ferrari through the parking lot, having the perfect combination between luxury and comfort of having all the technology, architecture and futuristic design worthy of a new world.
Being in Dubai not only changed my perspective on life but also made me understand how varied and diverse our world is, flooded with cultures and ways of seeing and living life totally different.
I will recommend Dubai forever and have it as one of the greatest achievements in my life.
