Hello @FrankTabianan , Japan is my favorite country! This is great that you are planning a trip to go there. And here are my personal recommendations. I was in Japan twice and I love the country so much. First I would like to ask you when you are planning to go there? For how long are you staying there? Do you have city that you must go?
For me, personally, the best times to go there are late spring (March to May) and late autumn (September to November). But bear in mind that, during the Hanami (cherry blossom) season in April it is crowded everywhere. Like cherry blossom season , Japan is gorgeous in autumn. And if you want to avoid the crowds you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of golden and red hues across the country.

My exchange program was in Hiroshima prefecture, Fukuyama city and it was one wonderful year there. I would like to recommend you my top attractions in the city or near it.
The firs one is Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park - as might you know Hiroshima is one of the only two cities in the world to have suffered an atomic bombing.Consisting of two buildings, the museum surveys the history of Hiroshima and the advent of the nuclear bomb. I was there several times and it is a special place for me.
The A-Bomb Dome, also known as the Hiroshima Peace Memorial, is what remains after the bomb.
No trip to Hiroshima is complete without a visit to the holy island of Itsukushima, more commonly known as Miyajima. For me this is one of the most beautiful places in Japan. Home to a large number of shrines and temples.
