1955 East Pakistan Polytechnic Institute (EPPI) after the independence of Bangladesh 1971 Named as 'Dhaka Polytechnic Institute (DPI). The campus has a four-storied building, offices, library, three large workshop buildings with modern equipment, gymnasium and laboratory and an auditorium with a capacity of 500 people. On the south side of the main building are the mosque and Shaheed Minar. There is Sonali Bank Dhaka Polytechnic branch on the north side, post office on the east side.

Accommodation for students Earlier Dhaka Polytechnic Institute had 5 halls of residence for male students and 2 halls of residence for female students, but now there are 3 halls of residence for male students and 2 halls of residence for female students.

:office: Latif Hostel, it is one of the largest hostel in Bangladesh

@Lima5 It has been a very big progress for that university campus in Bangla Desh because after independence in 1974 ,50th. anniversary ,the new country is doing like the good pictures in this post.
