Drawing Roads (Part -1) - A real thrill on Google Maps - A fan of New Roads - 2023 TRAC - TravellerG

Photo #1; Caption: Road Map of Tumkur, India where I have drawn a lot of roads.

Hope you remember the post by our @SholaIB (co-hosted by @LovePathak28 )… “3Thousand roads add campaign 2023 TRAC”…Here. This post is in support of this mission.

I crossed approvals of 90 roads in 30 days.

Let me tell you what I did:
Firstly, I decided to spare 45 hours for the ‘New Road Mission’. The first almost ten hours were dedicated to learning how to draw the roads and reading about different experiences mentioned in other posts in LG Connect - this took almost a week.

Then, I started drawing without expecting any results, dedicating almost one hour per day - after a week, I studied the results & I was surprised to see that I had reached 12 approved roads.

Surely, I have much more points/experiences to share which I would like to do in the next post…

In this mission, my most sincere thanks & gratitude goes to my family friend and Indian Moderator @NareshDarji for his continuous motivation and profound guidance - In the last 40 days, I could get approvals for more than 120 roads on Google Maps…While I have less than 3% rejections (Rejected), more than 60% are awaiting approval (Pending).

My very dear friend @ErmesT , each of your tips in your different posts has helped me a lot to achieve this result - the most important post beingthis. (3000+, and counting. My tips…)

Also, the post by @JanVanHaver (Here & Here) has surely inspired me. Of course, the tutorial by our Shola (Here) also immensely helped me to start. Expert comments by OssianLore also were helpful.

Other companions are @HsRawal @Lukas_1 @JustJake @MrFreez - thanks dear all.

Regards to each one of you.

PS:
As a photographer, I am adding a photo - hope you will like it.

Congratulations on your first 90 & thank you for helping make the maps more useful and helpful in “undiscovered” areas @TravellerG !

I really find your planning interesting. Setting aside a specific amount of time to this project. My guess is that you probably approach many things this way, and likely create a balance between your personal and professional projects, right? That’s something I’ve never considered, but it’s so logical!

I will say that adding roads, hunting locations, and viewing the different parts of the world you contribute to becomes quite exciting and addicting. So, your 45 hours may get renewed  .

Hello @TravellerG and welcome on this time consuming journey.

It’s great that you can already see the progress and thus want to continue.

Your approval rate is good and so is the rejection rate.

If you have any questions or want some tips, please ask in the telegram TRAC group where you’ll have a shot at getting the best answer.

Best of luck

That sounds great…! It’s amazing to see how much you have accomplished in such a short period of time. I am sure that your dedication and hard work has really paid off. It’s wonderful to see that you took the initiative to learn more about the drawing road process and that you took the time to study your results after making progress. Sharing your experiences and tips with the LG Connect community will be very helpful and inspiring…! Thanks for sharing @TravellerG sir.

I liked your Ghat Road photo. The road is going through a dense forest. Nice click. I would love to drive on this road in the future.
