During pandemic I work from home and it s the logest time I stay at home because my hometown and Jakarta , where I work is implementing Pembatasan Sosial Berskala besar (PSBB - Large scale Social Restriction).
My wife have 22 chicken and 5 birds.
Every single days I hear the sound of this chicken so I can make the meaning of the voices they make.
- All the chicken singing together when the hen delivering an eggs
- Babby chicken crying searching her mother.
- Mother chiken asking the baby chiken to reach her because she found some food .
- All chicken singing together because it is feeding time
- All chicken have some sound when a butterfly approaching their cage.
- Giving a same sound because they are affraid when I do my big orange rain coat near their cage.
- Long before I do know that the rain will be over by seiing some chicken walking out from the shelter try to find some food in the field, iven the rain still send theraindrop.
So if really DR Dolittle can talk to the animal, he is a like Local Guides level 10 with more than 200 thausands point contributions, and what I know about chicken behaviours is just a beginner level 1 with two or three point contributions.

I experience dogs communicating in the neighborhood over far distances even when they can not see each other. They bark making peculiar sounds and then stop and then the other one in the nearby block responds and some more join. They seem to be sending some messages and are definitely communicating.
When the owner of one of the dogs calls him back or to stop talking, they understand the human voice as well and they do not stop immediately. But they send out another message to their community telling they are going away for a while and perhaps join back and only after that they retreat.

Yes, during this pandemic and I should stay at home, I have the ability to know what the voice of the chicken means.
So I do not get bored to stay at home.

I do agree, dogs mor communicative with human being.
They obey what the owner want.
Do you ever know that dogs have a meet-ups in the cross alley and howling together in the midle ot the night ?
