From Jan 2025, you’ll no longer be able to see followed places on Maps. You can download your local followed places from the Maps section of Takeout now.

If you followed any places on Maps @salemghezal (a feature that has been deprecated for a while) those places will no longer be visible as followed places. The places themselves will stay on Maps and you will still be able to find them using search.
