#NoPlasticSpoons Challenge. @KetanChhaniyara very nice challenge which needs to aware people to avoid using plastic.
Recently, a plastic ban has been implemented , yet plastic bags are still secretly used in many places. However, ever since the ban came into effect, I always carry a cloth bag with me, which I find very useful.
In many restaurants and hotels, plastic bowls, spoons, plates, and glasses are still used, but we always avoid eating at such places. Often, we eat with our hands or request steel cutlery.
In numerous hotels across Maharashtra, steel, glass, or melamine plates and cutlery are commonly used. I recently moved to Solapur, and after coming here, the first restaurant I visited was one where you can see extensive use of steel utensils. No plastic.
Here tea is served in steel glass.
Self practicing is best example for others inspiration - great
“No to Plastics” is a good slogan - however, we can’t fully stop using plastics all of a sudden - example is the water bucket and mug…of course, they are not " Single use plastic".
Your post suits our @KetanChhaniyara’s chellenge - I liked it very much; I hope our Ketan also will enjoy this post.
Best wishes for more
Correct said @Supriyadevkar Mam ,We should carry a bags with us while we are going to Purchase Vegetable and other things.
We should encourage people to avoid use of plastic bags.
We should use steel water bottle in place of plastic bottles
Your commitment to reducing plastic use is truly commendable. Carrying a cloth bag and choosing outlets that use steel or wooden cutlery are impactful steps towards sustainability.
I’d love to read your detailed review of the outlets you mentioned. Could you please share the link where you discuss the type of cutlery they use?
It would be great to see and possibly feature it in our eco-friendly highlights.
It’s great to hear about your proactive efforts, carrying a cloth bag and choosing establishments that avoid single-use plastics. The widespread use of steel utensils in Maharashtra’s hotels is a positive sign, and it’s fantastic you found a plastic-free restaurant right after moving to Solapur.
Thank you, dear @Supriyadevkar
Yes, I very much believe in it…
But, I think practically & act…
In one day we can’t throw all plastics…
All possible things are being done at our home…
Thanks once again…
Yes it is difficult to follow from day one but at least we start from ourselves then it is habitual so start trying to carry cloth bags or steel bottles,or use steel cutlery, steel tiffin box etc.I know there are so many things in our house hold which are made up of plastic but atleast try avoid purchasing plastic things if possible.
