Changing angles is also great for photos, dear @MortenCopenhagen : I use it often, especially when it comes to photographing large spaces so as to amplify the effect. The one that comes most naturally to me is the one shown in the video, that is, lowering the smartphone and shooting. Even having a perspective by leaning on a right or left wall so as to amplify the opposite side sometimes gives me nice results.
Lately (especially for street photography - which has nothing to do with photos to upload to Maps -) I hold the smartphone at belly height and shoot: a lower perspective than usual (eye level) which also gives an unusual perspective.
the slow-mo smoothes out jitters/shakes. Example: Food reveal
the slow-mo gives a nice cinematic feel; think John Woo (famous film director.. it’s like his signature shot). Example: Cable car - outdoor
in Android’s default camera’s Pan mode, recording for X seconds generates double the length of the video as it slows it down). So, it makes it more discrete to do a quick pan of the camera and have a decently long video clip as a result.
Cons:
in Android, pan mode removes audio. This could be a pro if you prefer to upload without audio anyway!
If folks are interested to give this a try, I would recommend trying it and getting used to the speed of your panning. If you’re panning too slow, the final outcome becomes too boring to watch (unless there’s a lot of details to be observed).

That’s a very useful tips shared by Tarek. #TipsForBetterMapsVideos I would like to add that the lighting is very important, never take photos with the sun facing you if video is taken outside on a sunny day.

Audio is stripped by default from all kinds of videos while uploading them to Google Maps unless you go through a lengthy hoop to reactivate the audio. Please see
