I allow push notifications from Google Maps so I get and want to get notifaction asking me about the locations I visit. For the most part I’m happy with the notifactions I get with one excepcion, my place of work. During the day at work I go on several roadtests. Pretty much everytime I come and go from the work location, Google Maps asks me about my visit. Not a huge deal but was just wondering if there was a way to specify certain locations that Google won’t ask about, like an excepcion list?
Not a bad idea, @oreyca - I would recommend sharing this thought through our Idea Exchange. As a Local Guide, it’s an opportunity for you to share your ideas and potentially have them shared with the product teams, etc if the idea is popular and implementable.

I understand the frustration through the repeated push notifications.
Further, you have to use the Maps app for navigation during the road trips. That makes tracking & location history unescapable.
You are welcome to suggest to add some exclusions.
However, till the time the change happens, you can use the incognito mode in Maps during the road tests. Now that option is available on the Android devices also.
That will stop the Maps app tagging the history to your LG account.
Since you would be switching on the Maps app during driving, turning that into the incognito mode with one click on your profile icon wouldn’t be a big botheration.

Great observation. Having and maintaining an exception list will increase the level of complexity in the Google Maps user interface.
I think a universal block of suggesting to review your own workplace would be a better solution. Also because local guides will almost always have a wested interest in reviewing their workplace.
