DON’T SAY YOU KNOW IT ! I KNOW YOU DON’T KNOW IT 😉

Hi to All.

Yes it’s the Maqloobah in English ( the upside down ) traditional house Lunch meal.

Caption: a GIF shows the Maqloobah is being turned over . LG @OSAMA_

First , I hope all my fellow LGs and moderators are safe and in a good situation from Covid-19 ! The Coronavairus has made our life slow and blocked the countries from living their normal life. So we are not able to carry out the Maps’ Contributions.

Herein my article about the most wanted ever Lunch meal in my country Jordan, Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon. It’s originally first cooked in Palestine over a hundreds of years. Now the Maqloobah is very common and popular. It’s made in our houses in the four mentioned countries above, however, you can find it in the rest of the Arabic countries in restaurants. We prefer this meal at lunch time only. Maqloobah is a great family meal that we have a happy lunch time while we are sitting arranged around it, start talking eating the tasty flavor of this meal.

Ingredients: 1 Rice ( fresh ), 2 Chicken ( boiled ), 3 Fried Ring potatoes, 4 Fried Ring eggplant, 5 Ring Tomatoes ( fresh ) ( optional ), 6 little chopped Carrots ( fried ), ( optional ) , 7 Spices, 8 Chicken Soup, ( must ).

Recipe: 1 Place the round tomato layer on the button of the pot. 2 Place the second layer of the Chicken 3 place spreading the fried and the fresh mentioned above. 4 Place spreading the rice layer. 5 Start gently spilling the Soup Chicken ( last Layer ). When it’s arranged, move the pot over the fire so it’s being cooked now. ( No Stirring ) just leave it as arranged. Now it takes almost 25 minutes to be ready and Well cooked. When you see the rice well cooked , it’s ready.

Bring your big round plate and turn it over ( upside down ) as shown in my GIF/ VIDEO. Now no eating directly from the main big plate ! Each has his own small plate , fill your plate by a Table Spoon . Already everyone has his Salads and his Yoghurt small bowl next to his Maqloobah plate.

Start now and enjoy eating ??.

I am done ? I hope I am a good cook

Very Respectfully ? All.

We are the World.

What a mouthwatering dish that you made @OSAMA_1

When I saw the toppings and rice “falling” onto the plate one by one… Ohh… it’s so tempting :yum:

Did the rice cook similar with Biryani / Zurbiyan or the other way? Because the rice color is similar…

And do you eat this in a special day or just for a casual meal?

Hello @Velvel thanks so much you stopped again here to one of my posts! . I am happy you have impressed this lunch meal. It’s really very popular in here, and very common. We eat it only in our house and can’t be for occasions for example wedding, ,etc. it’s totally different from biryani and any other meal. I know it’s looks like those ! But no, this Maqloobah meal for us only hahaha. In addition, it’s very old traditional as I mentioned. All ingredients I included , tastes with the chicken Soup which gives a very delicious flavors.

You are welcome anytime to come here visiting me and I promise you will try it :kissing_heart:

@OSAMA_1 Mabrook for a Maqloobah :slightly_smiling_face:

@OSAMA_1 @Wow! It seems tasty dud :drooling_face:

I can actually imagine its taste after watching it as it looks very similar to ‘khichadi’ or ‘biryani’ which we eat in India.

Thanks for watering my mouth in a lockdown :grinning: .
