“I was born free, and that I might live in freedom I chose the solitude of the fields; in the trees of the mountains I find society, the clear waters of the brooks are my mirrors, and to the trees and waters I make known my thoughts and charms. I am a fire afar off, a sword laid aside”
Now, imagine Don Quixote charmingly leaving reviews of all the places he and his beloved Sancho visited on Google maps?!
Ever since I was little I had a desire to communicate and create. While the rest of the kids played with toys I took paper and scissors and made my own magazine. I taped it, edited and glued some furry material on the front cover. A modernist idea indeed! Inside I had several sections devoted to different topics. On the first page there was a content with page numbers so one could skip easily to the desired article. All of them were written by me and almost all focused on the culture of countries we learned about in school. I would spend hours making sure that the decor was perfect.
I wonder how that kid would react if I told him that decade and half later he will travel with a device that can do so much more?!
Beside incredible design the thing I appreciate the most about sharing on Google maps is effortlessness of the process.
