Hi! i’m Dhurjati, i’m from the amazing country INDIA. I’m a local guide from the HYDERABAD CITY, which is also known as
THE CITY OF PEARLS. Thanks to the Google local guide program, i got to know quiet a lot about my city.
When i first recived the mail from Google saying there’s a new feature on Google maps called “local guide” i got curious
read about it, liked it. A few days later i visited The Salar Jung museum, which is one among the three national museums.
As i reached there the maps asked me to review the museum, i clicked few pictures, i rated the location, wrote a review.
When i hit submit i got points as reward. That made it more interesting. The more i wrote the more points i got.
I was instantly obsessed with the local guide program. I enjoyed writing new reviews, clicking good
pictures with the amazing Google PIXEL, rating the visited places and answering the queries on my review. It is my everyday
thing now. I had a really good streak with writing reviews and posting pictures. I started exploring all the new places
around me, that is the time when i realized exploring is what i really LOVE.Being a Google maps local guide inspired me
to try and explore all the new things around me, pushed me to an extent where i became an extrovert from being an introvert.
Now i’m enjoying the stuff im doing which i never would’ve done if i was’nt a local guide.
Hopping on my motorcycle and visiting all the new places that open up everyday is my favourite hobby now a days.I have
hit quiet few records if i say so myself, my pictures getting aroung 100,000 - 500,000 views on average which is super impactful
Doing this, i found myself in hidden gem of a places quiet few times. I get replies from the places i reviewed appreciating
my opinion about their workspace which sparks good communication the local guide and people running the business.
I’d love to thank Google for providing me with such amazing opportunity to help the community that i live in and make things
simple for the people who look out for reviews before they get out.
