Doesn't accept missing place

Hi everyone,

Last year, I planted a tree in a certain area and marked the spot on Google Maps as a hiking area by submitting it as a “Missing Place.” I even uploaded a few pictures of the tree. I named the location IP (based on the initials of my friend’s name and mine – I’m Parham). All of my friends loved the place and started using it as the beginning point for their hikes.

This year, I planted another tree near the same spot. Once again, I took some pictures and submitted it as a “Missing Place” and marked it as a hiking area. However, this time, I waited several weeks – maybe even two months – but nothing happened. I submitted the request again, hoping it would go through, but still no result.

I’m trying to understand why it hasn’t been accepted this time.
Could it be because the new location is too close to the previous one?
Or maybe because I used a similar name (I called it IP2)?

Also, I’d love to share a suggestion with Google:
It would be great if Google created an app where people can plant trees, upload pictures of their trees, and share their stories and hiking experiences with others. I think it could encourage environmental action and community-building.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice!

Parham

Hello @UNPOINTSEUL

According to Google Maps policies, Google Maps doesn’t allow adding such places.
