Does this place exist here?

I have started using the “Check the facts” tab that is a little way down on the page when in Contribute. I then go to a location that has an orange symbol with a plus on it. Then I click on that location and is askes “Does this place exist here?” I drive to that location and it is a correct street address but a personal residence with no signage and no indication that a company is in fact at that location. Nor any indication that the public is welcome to visit the location. It may well be a service area business that is showing it’s address or any number of other things. (name change, closed, moved, ect).

In this case, is the correct ansewere NO?

You are correct, @davidcox .

No physical pressens = should not be on the map.

But it is a challenge when most businesses these days are more online than physical.

PS lots of praise for helping other guides getting their places approved.

This kind of question appears probably to confirm the edit of some other Local Guide

If you don’t have any evidence of a business in the position, no is the answer, I agree with @MortenCopenhagen

I would love to hear some more input on this and thank you for the answers. I am surprised how many listings are in this category and would really love it if it was possible to add notes to the question, other than just yes or no. But more importantly it would be a great feature if we could add photos or video from cell phone with GPS turned on so that we can show what we see and make it possible if human intervention is needed they can have more data if the listing owner objects or if they are looking for spam/bad listings.
