Hmmmmm, I will say no but you get badges and fulfilment especially if you are the type that is interested in helping people. The main thing you do is that you help others who has no idea of the place you have already visited and Will like to see how or trying to track the location of the places you have already made available on the Google map through your contribution.

Local Guides is a voluntary program and many people participate in it because they want to be able to help others via the Google Maps platform.
Sometimes, there are perks available and it will vary from time to time and from region to region. It depends on who the Google partners are. There may also be special and/or early access to Google features. You can read more about it on the official support page found here. When there is a perk available for you, you’ll be emailed about it. Please ensure you have your subscription turned on for this. You can check your settings here.
