So I wondered what kind of pizza do Local Guides like? And what about the size of your pizza, how big do you like it? I love a good pizza and my favorite is Napoletana with olives, anchovies and capers but mainly because I like anchovies on my pizza!

@AdamGT Yes, I do like pizza. The one that I like most is Hoisin Crispy Duck pizza from Kuppa. It is like East meets West sort of thing. Of course, the duck is crispy, perfect matches with Hoisin sauce. Thank you for sharing this post with us.

Hi @AdamGT , I think the pizza on your picture is not medium, that looks way too small. When I try out recommended Italian restaurants I always go for the Margherita, for me, it’s the perfect way to sample the quality of the ingredients.
But let’s say I’m watching an NFL or football game with friends I like an American style of pizza, with a bigger dough, industrial amounts of cheese and meat on top, even buffalo chicken wings sometimes. There’s a long-time dispute between two great US cities contending who has the best pizza in the country: Chicago’s deep dish or New York-style pizza. I like both of them really.
My all-time favourites are margherita, quattro fromaggi and diavola.

My favorite as I mentioned in my post Eat Italy - do you Pizza? is Salsiccia (sausage) with friarielli (leaves of a broccoli plant from south of Italy) and provola (milk cheese with different production than mozzarella).
About the size there is no specific size to like as Pizza is pizza, at least in our culture the size makes no different as you eat your own portion. Of course we do have the Pizza al metro as well, especially in the south of Italy, but that size is meant for sharing with big groups so you will cut slices instead of having many single pizzas for everyone.
I can definitely see that you are a pizza lover…I smiled when I read your description the Americano with industrial amounts of cheese and meat on top…lol. If you think the pizza on my picture looks way too small and is not medium, then you have to show me a photo of your small, medium and definitey a large pizza hehehe. What is the difference between Napoletana and Margherita? You must really like cheese but for me the quattro fromaggi is just too much lol. I don’t mind spicey so can handle the deli pizza but I don’t eat meat. I’ve had a New York-style pizza but haven’t tried Chicago’s deep dish. How different are they?
Yes of course you would like pizza and I read it that you like the sausage!!! I have eaten different styles pizz in Italy from the North and south and it is amazing how different they can be. Also I understand what you mean about size and eating your portion, and I have seen pizza made by the metre but in many places they have 3 or 4 standard sizes - small, medium, regular and large but from what @pacomorett has said maybe a medium in one city is different to a medium in another! The medium pizza in my photo was taken in North Carolina but @pacomorett says it is too small to be a medium pizza. To be honest when I saw this pizza I said that must be a large pizza or even bigger pizza! Interesting!!!
Hi @AdamGT , yes! The pizza life chose me hahaha. I was kidding about the size of the pizza, it is giant to be a medium one. Margherita only has tomato, basil, and mozzarella, I think its the most basic one, but delicious. New York pizza has a thinner crust and large slices, while deep dish is almost like a pizza pie: stuffed with meat, pepper, mushrooms, and onion.
HI @pacomorett I thought you were joking hahaha because when I saw this on a street in North Carolina I too thought this was a giant pizza. OK the Margherita is just basic. Yes the New Yorker was thin crusted but I still enjoy it when there. I haven’t had the pizza pie style deep dish.
My favorite well… there’re two, Napolitana & the other is Caribean (not sure about the name) with cheese, ham, pineaples, cherys and caramel sauce. The bittersweet one is delicious. Have you ever tried a bittersweet pizza?
Of course, I also love pizza. Pizza is awesome food. First, most of the people love it. Second, as there are many options, we are able to eat together with most of the people who have dietary restrictions. And, eating pizza with someone is really fun!
