France = the hexagon

South africa = the rainbow nation

USA = the uncle sam country

Japon = the land of the rising sun

Egypt = the pharaons land

England - land of the Poms

Australia is land of the Sheila’s (for females) so some would say, ‘Good day, Sheila’ or land of the Aussies but I don’t think there’s an actual nickname that stands out in my mind.

Apparently New Zealand is humourously nicknamed “Land of the long white CROWD”

Why? Because AOTEAROA is the Maori name which is translated as “Land of the long white CLOUD”
