Local Guides is a global community of explorers who write reviews, share photos, answer questions, add or edit places, and check facts on Google Maps. Millions of people rely on contributions like yours to decide where to go and what to do.

We are volunteers, and our reviews are spontaneous. Being paid for writing a review is also against the program rules. https://policies.google.com/terms

Sometimes, there are perks available and it will vary from time to time and from region to region. It depends on who the Google partners are. There may also be special and/or early access to Google features. You can read more about it on this article Get recognized.

Welcome to Connect! As you can read in our program rules, Local Guides are not paid nor may Local Guides earn money for their contributions.

Perks are offered to Local Guides from time to time in particular regions as a token of recognition for contributing great content on Google Maps. To see where you are signed up for Local Guides, please visit your Local Guides settings.
