The Red sea offers the best dive sites I know in the world today and Eilat’s living coral reef is part of that great underwater wonder.
Probably the northern most coral reef in the world!
The region around Eilat is a Diving paradise. Here you find the best dive guides and very professional dive centers to dive with.
Some dive sites are to wreck’s and you can see old navy ships or other big wrecks, it is super cool and exiting.
The best part of the coral reef is in the southern part of the beach - The coral nature reserve.
You will find plenty of living corals and animals around the whole area
I personally dive a lot and visit Eilat many times a year (as much as I can)

I use an Underwater housing for the camera.
The camera I use is the old Canon G7x (mark1) and I got a Meikon Housing for it.
I normally don’t use artificial light and prefer the Natural light but it depends on the depth.

Diving in the Red sea is really heaven on earth (or underwater).
It is not only in Eilat and there are many other places to visit.
Since the pandemic and the border closing I got more time to spend in Eilat and I love it there!

WoW @JoniG those are very beautiful underwater photos. They are very colorful. Have you used red filters or this is the original state. I also do dive and i’m intrigued by this post. I want to dive in this beautiful Eilat’s coral reefs in Red Sea oneday. Hope I could get some pointers from you then.
Btw if you come to Sri Lanka I would also point you towards beautiful dive sites in Sri Lanka.

I don’t use any red filters but I do correct the colors in post editing. Filters absorb much of the precious and limited natural light that you can use.

A lot of our reefs around the world are dying due to global ocean temperature warming, I hope this one stays safe and prosperous @JoniG thanks for sharing so many of the creatures and things you see there.
