Divinity at its best.
Yes I am talking about the Divine Photo Walk Meet-up hosted by LG @VickyKrish .
We met around 5.30 pm at the scheduled meeting place near Aanjaneyar Temple, Nanganallur, Chennai, India. It was great pleasure meeting in person a few LGs who have given me Kudos for my posts and motivated me with their valuable comments.
To name a few LGs are
@TravellerG @Sathiyaph @aaryesdee @Selvamani_R
@RtnArulPrakasamT @Saravanakanth
The meeting point of the Meet-up was situated in a very busy street. There are many shops selling things which are needed for festivals and religious celebrations. The first picture below is a shop displaying items ahead of a festival in a fortnight, These are required for the festival. The second picture is a shop selling items which are used as decorative things in houses.
These flower vendors are in front of the temples. They sell flower garlands and flowers along with fruits and coconuts to be offered to the deities inside the temple. Flowers are offered to decorate the idols inside the temples. Fruits and coconuts are offered to the deities as a mark of respect and offering for prayers. They are given back to the pilgrims and are used by the pilgrims themselves.
Then we visited 4 out of many temples of that locality. The place is famous for many temples. Below are pictures of the temples we visited during this photo walk.
Around 9.00pm we winded our Divine Photo Walk with lots and lots of memories. We had a very good pleasant Sunday Evening.
I take this opportunity to thank all the Local Guides who made this Meet-up a grand success.
