Dive Agar – Shri Roopnarayan Mandir and Shri Suvarna Ganesh Mandir
In the sound of the sea and the silence of devotion – two divine temples of Dive Agar ![]()
In the naturally beautiful Dive Agar village of Konkan, just a few minutes’ walk from the beach, there are two ancient and renowned temples —
Shri Roopnarayan Mandir and Shri Suvarna Ganesh Mandir.
Both these places are not only centres of devotion but also symbols of history and artistic heritage.
Shri Roopnarayan Mandir
This is a very ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
The temple is built with red laterite stones, showcasing a blend of Konkani and old stone architecture.
The black stone idol here uniquely depicts all ten avatars (Dashavatar) of Lord Vishnu carved into a single sculpture — a rare piece of art.
The temple premises are peaceful, clean and surrounded by coconut trees.
