Recently I have observed this change in my Android device.
When you go on Contribute tab, just beneath Local Guide’s name, now the text Local Guide -Level X with the respective LG Level badge is displayed as depicted in Photo 1 below.

Earlier it used to be just the Number of Contributions as displayed in Photo 2 below.

I’m sorry but this is nothing new. What you show is the difference between not being a Local Guide (showing only the number of contributions) and being a Local Guide where the level and points are shown. That is one way you can detect whether a Maps user is also a Local Guide.

Thanks for your view point. It is not like that. As I have mentioned in the caption, in Photo 1 the screenshot is taken on 07-Sep-2023 and in Photo 2 the screenshot was taken on 05-Sep-2023. Its not like that as - I was not the Local Guide on 05-Sep-2023 and I became Local Guide on 07-Sep-2023 and hence the new look is there. Before yesterday (06-Sep-2023), I have not seen this. I have been tracking this very closely for last one month and it never was there in my observation.
But the catch is, it comes at times and then suddenly disappears also. Whatever is there in Photo 1 does not seem to be permanent. May be one of the GMs can throw some more light on this.

It is likely a glitz or you were suspended briefly without you noticing. If you want a GM to check, please tag one of them.

If it was a glitz this is nothing to worry about.
Since you can post here on Connect, you are definitely not currently suspended. Suspended Local Guides will show on Google Maps as you noticed with only the sum of contributions (without the orange star badge, without the mention of Local Guide + Level).
So I tend to believe this was just a glitz because I believe you have been able to post on Connect the entire period, correct?

O’Yes…thanks @MortenCopenhagen for the clarification on suspension.
Honestly, I have never seen this change before as described in Photo 1 in my post on android device on clicking on Contribute tab. On clicking view your profile only 'Local Guide + Level + points used to come and its there now also without orange badge. Rather Local Guide badge was only displayed in the profile section at the top where all other badges are available.
