It is now possible to see a restaurant’s most popular food or drinks on google maps menu, This will enable people to place orders without having to remember the dishes names, knowing how it looks will be enough.
This feature is accessible by typing any restaurant name in google and their popular dishes will be shown in the overview menu. As of now the feature is only available on android devices, IOS to follow soon says Ronnie Falcon the Product Manager at Google Maps.
Now all the dishes pictures we have been taking will have an extra importance in helping people make informed orders.

Just hope that it doesn’t make the app more heavy to use. It’s a map app, people use it mainly for navigation, more features are nice but just don’t make it out of the main focus

Hello @longnd Thanks for your comment, I believe it is intended to become extra helpful to the same level when people travel or search restaurants to go to. it is a resign of the Explore tab all the information is not stored on the app but on the cloud. I do not think this will affect app size and loading time.
