There is a special routine in my life that is wake up on Saturday morning, have a delicious
breakfast, and invite my wife and some friends to discovery new places to do our adventures.
Could be 4x4, Kitesurf, Stand Up Paddle, Surf board, what else will be fun!
During one of this adventure, I discovered a very special place, that there wasn’t any name or
indication on Google Maps, not even a traced path!
It is a sandbank in the middle of Araruama’s lagoon, that is the largest mass of hypersaline
water in permanent state in the world. And it is one of the best places for kitesurfing in Brazil.
Because of the position and distance from the shore, this sandbank is very good for the most
of wind directions.
Thanks, God to give me health and courage to explore different locations, thanks, my father to
be on my side during this day, and my truck 4x4 for taking us there.
After some days, I decided to register it on Google Maps and called by my name: “Ponta do
Listrado” (Listrado’s sandbank).
