Discovering unique places to eat in Perú

This is an old candy store located in the north of lima, Perú in the city called Sayán and was where the “Alfajor” was invented.

The store is called Lumbre and it works since 1904. This store sells this sweet (like desert) that is the best inthe area it is made up of 2 crakers of “manjarblanco”.

The “manjarblanco” is like the Argentine milk candy or caramel, it is prepared with milk and sugar. This is used to fill also different types of fruits such as: figs, oranges, guindones, pecans, lemons and peaches.

So far the secret recipe is used that makes it delicious and unique.
