It was few years ago that i received a notification from google, if i want to be a local guide. I joined and registered because i am a tourist guide in Dominican Republic. I drive people from one place to another, from airport to hotels, other cities, beaches, resorts, restaurants, name it. Most times, i travel to places without even knowing how to get there, but i always have my engine guide and that is “google map”. i have never gotten lost using google map, and i have used it to travel to different cities in Dominican Republic while working, but sometimes, the roads and the hotels etc, are not well situated where it suppose be on the map, therefore that is when i put more interests in trying to make google map a better place. i have added so many business on the map, i have created and corrected new roads and names of the roads here in my city, i have posted a lot of photos of so many restaurants, caves, hotels, best beaches, best hotels, i have review all of them and let people to know what to expect when they got there or before they travel. My main goal is to make google map easy to use, reliable and most importantly accurate in reading places on the map, and at the same time, i want all visitors to go back home, safe and sound. I found so many joy in taking pictures and posting it on the google reviews about a particular place. I have been traveling and taking pictures and posting them for everyone to see and learn about this places and to assure them that it is safe to visit Dominican Republic in all these areas that i have visited and also to let people see the beauty of nature found in this country. I enjoy my job as a tourist guide and also, i am a medical student in my final year, working so hard to support myself in school and at the same time enjoying what i do best, taking amazing photos while giving services to my clients. The most interesting thing about google map is that, its potential is unlimited, everyday i learn about new things, meet new people, connect to the world with just sharing photos and ideas, there is nothing as good as feeling useful while helping others find their way or answers to so many questions. I have discovered a lot about google map but i still feel like there is more and more things about it, that is what is driving and moving me forward to find out more things about google map, by traveling to places and not only in this country but all over the world. I believe that google map will take me to another country to discover more of its potentials.

Thank you for sharing, It is so important the role that we all have in making places more accessible and locations and directions accurate. It makes all the difference when you visit somewhere for the first time to have accurate information. I hope to visit D.R at some point, thank you for taking the time to add and update information and add photographs.
