Discovering new pathways with the Local Guides Program with east coast roots Canadian style!

I like to thank everyone from around the world who took the time to read my local guides posting. This is my first posting on connect but I hope to make a habit of connecting with each and everyone of you during my tenure here while using this platform. Since I have been using the local guides program, it has significantly impacted my life in how I travel, eat at restaurants and even where to get a great hair cut for a decent price. As a recent contributor to the local guides program, I believe in helping others with personal stories and experiences of my travels abroad and at home in my city of St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. It is a small city compared to most other municipalities in Canada, but it is so filled with life, lights and a colourful palettes of personalities. Anyone that has ever visited our lovely province has described it as a sense of home, community and togetherness. From our enchanted pathways of our beautiful east coast trials that takes your breath and your imagination away to our festivals of music with camaraderie and libations at the George Street Festival that occurs all but once a year in the summer.

I like to provide reliable, supportive and real advice for people who like to use local guides. I believe that my advice helps people in making real decisions to either attend an event, a restaurant, a place or even a hotel. This program means a lot to me. It has opened my eyes about how one views the world. At an age where technology and transparency are very prominent in todays social sphere, I like to think that I am making an impact on someones life. As a local guide, I believe that I have a responsibility to show and review places that I have traveled to but there is also a responsibility to also show my personal surroundings in my home town of St. John’s. The more I use the local guides contribution section, the more I enjoy showcasing more of my roots of where I grew up and where I go everyday to show the beauty, the charm and the untouched textured nature of our culture with crisp visual images and insightful reviews. I hope that you have enjoyed my first posting with Local Guides Connect! I will be coming back again to engage and share all of my experiences with you again. Newfoundland is considered a vast fishing province so maybe next time, I will touch on our variety of fish restaurants and the tasteful treats my city has to offer. Newfoundland and Labrador is a vast, beautiful, often remote and isolated place. It is my home and I would like for you to see it through my eyes thought the local guides connection. Thank you again for taking the time to read by posts.
