Previous Sunday evening, I had a chance to bring my kids to explore Taman Hutan Tebet, South Jakarta.
Me as Jakarta’s resident always has this big dream of having big giant park like Central Park in New York City, where we can do outdoor activities or just lay down and relaxing. Like I always seen on movie set, Central Park is one of the best park in the world. I’m imagining the grass is green, the air is clean and not humid.
Since Indonesia has only two seasons (dry seasons and raining seasons), we can’t have that “NYC Central Park” During dry seasons, the temperature is very hot and caused the soil turns dry, dusty and the grass turns brown. On the other hand, during raining seasons, the soil turns muddy, humid, not comfortable to walk above it.
Despite of that, Taman Hutan Tebet are one of the “better” version of park that we can have, the surroundings may not perfect but I can still capture the natural beauties which I’m happily to share with you today.
Love
Rita
