I am Rahul G S, an engineer by profession and a Level 6 local guide from Kerala India. I started this local guide program by answering questions which are provided by Google from my location feeds. One day i went to a remote place for an exam which is far from my home.I took some more time to catch that place, after the exam I took some photos of that place and returned to home. A couple of days later, I saw the option to share the pics in google maps So I posted those pics to G maps. In a weeks time my pics got more than 1k views.That was an exciting factor for me to become an active Local guide. After that I started sharing pictures of places and food items that resulted me in becoming a level 6 Local guide.
For Me Local guides program is one of the best ways to showcase our social responsibility towards the society. Many people started looking at my photos and reviews makes me so excited and proud. It helps me understand that the pics are talking about the place. Now I take it as my responsibility to share genuine responses via reviews and pictures. Last year I got a pair of local guide socks as perk from google and I feel extremely happy and proud that I have been honored by Google. After that couple of my friends also came forward to become a local guides! As a Local Guide enthusiast, the Local guide program is one of the greatest opportunity to communicate to the world through pictures and reviews and it is so far one of the best platform to express my opinion about the places for everyone who wants to know.
