I recently attended the U.S. Embassy Phnom Penh’s Annual Press Reception at Hops Craft Beer Garden & Restaurants, and it gave me a chance to discover more than just a nice gathering place.
One thing that caught my attention was the German-style food served at the venue. The food was a great match for the relaxed beer-garden atmosphere, with hearty dishes and flavours that offered something a little different from the usual dining experience in Phnom Penh.
What I also found interesting is that Hops is not only a place to enjoy food and drinks. There is also a snooker area, making it a fun option for people who want to enjoy a game and spend more time with friends after a meal.
I enjoyed the combination of good food, drinks, games and a relaxed atmosphere, especially for a social gathering with colleagues and friends.
For local guides, I love sharing places based on the overall experience, not only the food itself. Sometimes it is the atmosphere and activities that make a place memorable.
