The month long festivities of Ramadan finally conclude today with celebration of Eid and this Eid was very interesting. I got an opportunity to discover what its like to enjoy a iftari , a walk near Delhi’s one of oldest mosque and the buzz of the festival!
We met last week at @faizanpatel 's iftar party and I have been in awe of Jama Mazid and it’s vicinty ever since! Sharing some of great pictures and experiences from the meet up here today since it’s a Eid holiday and these picture are making the mood just right for the occassion!
Picture Above : I choose my favourite red kurta to wear to this meet up. Everyone has their favourite peice of cloth that they have a memory with. My memories with this kurta has always been festive and joyful. So glad I have a new memoery with this kurta now . You see me smile wide?
Picture Above : A view of Jama Mazid lit beautifully in its yellow lights. The only way I knew this mousque was through bollywood movies and songs that were shot here. It’s actually funny and sad at the same time that we often miss the most beautiful things in life which are mushrooming right next to us. I have crossed this area a lot of times but never got an opportunity to see it from the inside.
The wikipedia tells me that was originally called Masjid-i-Jahan Numa, meaning ‘mosque commanding view of the world’ and you can only know why, once you come here. You can see flocks of phtoographers clicking around with so many people eating and praying in its courtyard. Totally a deligh to see!
Happy Ramadan to muslims all around the world and all humen in the planet this is very special occasion for Muslim we take fast hole month of Ramadan to sun rise to sun set in evening only for Allah (God) and give zakaat help to poor people and pray for all humnity and plz remember me in your prayers jazakAllah

Love reading your post. I’ve been to many iftaris Absolutely enjoy the time - you really enjoy breaking fast with your loved ones. As for Eid Celebrations in Pakistan (my home country) like other Muslim countries, it is an official holiday. Most people go back to their hometowns but people like me who have no home town as such, we stay in our homes and celebrate with the relatives within the city
