The Marche region is known as one of Italy’s best kept secrets (even if this might change soon, since Lonely Planet ranked it #2 in the list of places to visit in 2020!).
Today I would like to introduce you to Sant’Angelo in Lizzola, a tiny medieval village on the rolling hills of Northern Marche that you will hardly find on travel guides, but that has lots of charme and a relaxing flair.
It is only a few kilometers from the sea, just between the towns of Pesaro and Urbino.
If I know this place it’s just because I grew up there ? but I highly advise you to stroll around its streets if you happen to be in that area. You can have a look at my Google Maps List Discover Pesaro and Surroundings
for more ideas about what to see in Northern Marche.
welcome here on Connect! The photos are very nice and Sant’Angelo in Lizzola looks like indeed a very beautiful village although I never been there. Marche is a beautiful region and there are many nice places to visit there.

Thanks for sharing the natural beauties of an Italian village @GaiaGemini . All the photos are so great that I like them very much. I wish to visit this nice place one day.
Yes, all the pics are mine except from one, which is a public domain photo found on the Wikipedia page of the village. I updated the caption citing the source, as suggested on the content guidelines of Connect.
Altrimenti no. Cito: “Only share photos you have taken yourself or received permission to use directly from the copyright owner.Do not download and post photos from Google Search, Google Maps, social media, stock photo websites, or elsewhere on the internet without receiving permission from the owner of that photo.”
