So there’s a new :flying_disc: Disc Golf Course…

That’s great! But how to best mark it on the map? Here are some tips as I’ve tried different things over the years:

  • When in doubt, put the pin at hole 1
  • In some cases there is a usual “meeting spot” for the course - perhaps by a practice basket or parking lot, this is fine too
  • As you are probably listing a new course, it is possible that there are also new roads and paths to add to get to the starting point.
  • Include “Disc Golf Course” in the name, but also a distinguishing name (the same name as on UDisc and/or the course map)
  • Add photos!

The good news: There is a category named Disc golf course so such places can be added to Google Maps.

I would place the pin at the entrance if there is one. Else, where people will typically park their cars.

It is actually not allowed to repeat the category in the name field.
