While we were driving around the Moab, UT area (October, 2018), we found very cool dinosaur tracks! We stopped at what we thought was a vista overlook and realized that the stop was really meant to showcase these dinosaur tracks along this short hike.
Bull Canyon is a dinosaur track site and scenic overlook of beautiful Bull Canyon and Fisher Mesa. There is a short gravel trail to therapod dinosaur tracks that are dated to the Jurassic period about 200 million years ago when the area was a shallow sea. It is located about an hour outside of Moab. https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/mantilasal/recarea/?recid=73086
There are so many things to see in the Moab, UT area along with Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park… as you can see there were also cows on the road that we were driving on ?
The beautiful view that we originally stopped for wasn’t a disappointment either! The overlook was even covered in dinosaur tracks! …and the canyon was just beautiful ?
This is another place to add to your bucket list!
