Why is there a difference to what I have done on my Google Maps i.e. Level 8 and 139 reviews to what I am seeing on my Local Guides home page of level 7 and 120 reviews?
Hi @Peter-Barton - there’s some kind of issue with the back end systems at the moment and a few things seem to be out of sync.
Google are their usual silent selves about it but it’s being reported heavily in the many posts about overall image view counts not updating, I suspect your symptoms are as a result of something connected to this.
These things generally get fixed in time and nobody knows why they happened or what has been done, this one is taking longer than usual but hopefully you’ll see matching stats in the future.
On the plus side when these things happen the data usually keeps adding up in the background so nothing (should be) lost.
@turbotapeworm Thanks for your reply. I have noticed this issue for some time and unfortunately, it’s getting worse! At least there is an understanding that this is happening and hopefully it gets sorted. Thanks once again.

Yeah currently I have no way to change my profile picture. Ive changed it several times on my g suite and gmail and it has yet to refresh here. I’ve heard it will remain broken untill they reopen the new street view for local guides.
@ChrisWilson Oh, I did not know about that! I just opened my Google account to check if I could change my avatar and it seems that I could. I don’t want to test it by changing it though (tempting fate) as I use it for all my online activities. 
Yes @Peter-Barton I’ve seen a Level 1 on Connect showing as Level 3 on Maps!
@AdamGT Thanks for that. As you can see I have now attained my level 8 but things have now changed on my Google Maps profile. I have now got 120 reviews when before it was 139, the latter being correct! So it seems they give with one hand and take from another! 
Just hang in there @Peter-Barton until the issue is resolved. However I had a thought that this might not in fact be related to the issue that @turbotapeworm refers so I would think that you would be better off changing the category of your post from Achievement to How-tos as that’s where issues like this should be raised.

Yes, I am still experiencing this problem. I recently received an email from Google on congratulating me on the places you added have reached a new record on Google Maps with 500,000 views! There it clearly states my reviews is 140, which is correct, but on my Local Guide home page and on Google Maps, it states 121. At least my points and Level 8 has been given to me.

@AdamGT Thank you for your reply and I must apologise for not replying earlier as I had somehow missed it! To be honest, it’s okay this is not the only ‘glitch’ that I have experienced with Google. G+ was a nightmare sometimes, lol. Knowing where to put a question or an issue can be a bit head-scratching here on Connect but thanks to you guys your advice are always welcome.
