Different Data shows in MAPS and LOCAL GUIDE ASSISTANT apps

Dear Team,

There is a data discrepancies shows in my MAPS and LOCAL GUIDE ASSISTANT apps.

Kindly FIX it.

Suddenly my Google maps account left menu shows question mark which is attached.

If I clear the cache or data from the apps setting its become normal view.

Again some few times it becomes the old question mark state

  • Can anybody help me in this regard

Hi @ShakilAK ,

Are you sure you are logged in to the Google account you normally use?

I can see your contributions ok. Your latest review is from only three hours ago.

If you have access to more than one device, please also check there.

As you say that you already cleared the cache, and everything went back to normal operation, this is probably related to something that is on there (e.g. some website you visit frequently), or a not updated version of the app.

Can you please add a screenshot, and the OS version of your device?

@ShakilAK Hi!

It seems you have got the new Maps version as an experiment. Don’t worry about this new Maps layout/interface.

In this new maps interface, Maps team remove the hamburger menu and bundle all the menu option and feature in the 5 tabs. The 5 tabs situated the button of the map called - Explore, Go, Saved, Contribute & Updates.

So don’t worry about your menu what it shows differ by the account and device.

I hope you will test this awesome new layout of Google maps which is a big chance for some maps users.

As MortenCopenhagen also mentioned about the important remark that @ShafiulB provided would come in handy for the community with it being marked as Solution.(I also had to check on mu own Android device)

In my MAPS account Master Fact Finder page shows i have answered 6407 questions where My contributions page shows 5730 answers.

How can it be fix?

Hi @ShakilAK the two presentations of the data do not happen at the same speed. The badges usually lag behind your contributions by up to a week. They will come into line over time.

I will merge all your duplicate posts to keep Connect tidy.

@ShakilAK I was just reading through your post and the replies. Did you actually mean this specific 3rd party app? The Local Guide Assistant by CatFish? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=catfish.android.localguideassistant

Because your 2nd screenshot looks exactly like this app, which is not developed by Google. If it’s true that you are referring to this app, then we should not refer to interfaces by 3rd party apps compared to Google Maps, it’s not relevant. :slightly_smiling_face:

@sonnyNg Just flagging this app as above because it uses the official Google Local Guides pin logo so Google can do the necessary.
