Today I noticed that some information - especially the number of reviews - on my Android smartphone (OnePlus 7T) is different than on my wifes Samsung A70.
Please note that I have moved your comment out of the original thread so it appears as a standalone post in the How-tos section. This way other Local Guides who may have similar issues can find the answer by searching on Connect. I have also given your post an appropriate title.
Regarding the two phones, I assume you are logged in with your own account when viewing you reviews on your own phone. When you are viewing your reviews on your wife’s Samsung A70, is it logged in to Google Maps from her account?
There isn’t anything surprising in your finding. If your review violates any stated policies or contains objectionable material, then that turns private.
Nevertheless, I find a common factor in all such reporting and that is a huge number of likes.
If it is how you write, how do I identify the 19 posts that appear to be set automatically to “private”?
If I don’t know exactly what caused them to possibly be set to “private”, I can’t learn anything from this and will have more posts in the future that may violate something…
…a message that posts violate something or are not displayed to all I have at least never received.
This gives me the uneasy feeling that I’m not really in control of my reviews - is this due to the limited possibilities of the app or is this intended?
