Recently I noticed that my topics created number has reduced. I don’t remember whether any of my posts has been removed. Why the difference in the number of topics created now and then.
Below is the screenshot of my profile taken today. This shows 91 topics created.
I rarely visit my profile. I found this discrepancy today, when I went to my profile to retrieve a draft. I couldn’t understand which is my correct number of topics created.
Thanks @MortenCopenhagen for your reply. If topics are merged, I will get notifications. I got notification for only one topic being merged with other topics. That was before the screenshot was taken. Recently I didn’t get any such notifications. Thanks again for understanding.
Those notifications are made manually. I would be guilty if someone asked if I always remember to write such a notification when merging two posts. So it is not 100 percent sure you get a message. But maybe @Denigu knows better.
Even I don’t look into my profile much @MortenCopenhagen and thank you for explaining. I was waiting for my 100th post. Based on the number at that time I wrote a post mentioning it as my 100th post. Also all my recent posts are visible. Might be some old posts are merged. But such changes I should be aware.
@MortenCopenhagen is correct in that it’s possible that some of your topics got merged and that’s why the number of “topics created” changed - topics become “replies” once merged to another thread.
When Moderators merge topics, they should leave a comment tagging you and letting you know about the merge. The tag is what triggers the notification; there is no automatic notification from the system about the merge. Depending on your notification settings, you may receive a notification on Connect, via email, or both - or not at all.

My notifications is ‘on’ and I get notified twice when I am tagged, one in the App and through Gmail. As @MortenCopenhagen mentioned there might not be any notifications of merge sent. I remember merging of the Mother’s Day post by you and I accept that.
I was a bit upset, since, the topics created suddenly went down without any notice.
We have to work hard when creating a post, particularly using a mobile. I collect detailed information and relevant pictures to write a.goor post. If so much information goes as reply, then the whole purpose of writing posts is completely gone. Such posts cannot be enjoyed by others. Our efforts go waste. That’s my concern. Hope you get my valid point. I value your reply very much. Thanks again for that and giving your time.
