Também está convidando todos os Estados Membros, organizações da ONU e outras partes interessadas a observar o Dia Mundial da Limpeza.

O World Cleanup Day foi vencedor da categoria Mobilização do UN SDG Action Awards (Prêmio de Ação ODS da ONU) em 24 de julho em Roma. O Prêmio de Ação ODS da ONU reconhece conquistas notáveis e esforços inovadores para promover ações nos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável.

All 193 Member States of the UNHabitat General Assembly of the United Nations Human Settlements Program in Nairobi, have adopted the resolution positively and recommend that the UN General Assembly proclaim the date of September 20 as World Cleanup Day, to be observed annually. from 2024. World Cleanup Day won the Mobilization category of the UN SDG Action Awards on July 24 in Rome. The UN SDG Action Awards recognize outstanding achievements and innovative efforts to advance action on the Sustainable Development Goals.
