Iraq is suffering from wars and destruction after what happened before and other wars. So I try as a young man to develop maps and add places and modify them to give people easy access to them, but an individual effort is not enough. We need help in this. How can I do this or how do I get support in this matter?

I appreciate your initiation bro. Actually any type of journey starts from a single step. You are that first step. Now you can engage your friends on it. Also open a local guide community in your place. Expose your work to the locality from time to time. If any suggestions needed then feel free to share with us.

  • Use the Location field to geotag your post to a specific place, but make sure itā€™s important to the content of the post, this way you will be able to get in touch with other Local Guides from your country or even better, around your area.
  • Use Google Local Guides forum to check any fellow Local Guide around you.
  • Donā€™t share personal information on the forums, check out the private messaging option instead.
  • Checkout the terms & conditions about posting on LG forums.
  • Use this link to meet the Google moderators
  • You can supporting other fellow Local guides by kudoing in best comments and posts, tagging Local guides by using ā€˜@ā€™, and marking the best solution in your posts by clicking ā€˜Accept as Solutionā€™.
  • Check the article about Points, levels & badging to know how you can earn points, badges and levels.

Congratulations for your post, your country deserves a serious improvement in maps, and you are doing a wonderful job.

The next step should be to build up a local community, to have other people helping you for this wonderful improvement.

They will, @Bayerkhery . Maybe not today, maybe not tomorow, but they will.

Maps is a powerful tool, but the power of Maps is in the possibility of sharing informations.

Show it to the local business. Show them how easy they can became interesting, asy to find.

Mosul is a city that deserve a new life, after the war, and with new life also new business are coming.

Iraq is growing up, and we have some beautiful LG from your country in here. Search for Iraq or for Tehran (follow the link) and get in touch with the LG from your country.

We are doing what we can but we need help from google herself to develop satellite images of Iraq and developing countries so that the places are clearer and more beautiful

I am looking for any kind of assistance and I consider it good but the subjects needs to increase the accuracy of the maps because of the urban change which does not stay the same.

As I mentioned before about the reasons, As you know the maps also help the local community to easily access the locations that they want. Thanks to the google For efforts and secondly to the local guides who search and add information every day about the places that serve around us, but there is no appreciation for the guidesā€™ efforts and people thought it was done automatically

Hi @Bayerkhery , thanks for being very interested in this sensitive topic. I would say Iā€™m happy to see your post. Specially youā€™re from very interesting,awesome, and diverse country. I was born and raised in Iraq. so I have this responsibility as well. Thereā€™s many thing we should to do, by telling our friends how to improve Iraqā€™s map. In Iraq there are many photographers that I know, we can ask them to help us. Of course they would be very welcomed of this idea.
