I think Google Maps has a lot yet to develop. Let’s see some examples:

  1. Sometimes Google Maps doesn’t work in a place, nor we can even edit or update it.

  2. Google Maps can include option to share location to get connected with Friends & Family.

  3. Sometimes Google is Showing GPS address only which we failed to edit.

  4. Google Maps should show a tutorial on how to use Google Maps and how someone can develop it.

- Not sure what you mean. Which place are you talking about? Can you give an example of place? For more information about what features are available in what region, check this post.

- Google maps provides you a way to share your real time location with friends and family. Check out this article.

- Not very clear on this. Can you elaborate?

- Almost all the features in google map are self explanatory. You can refer google maps help page for additional help. For developers, take a look at the Google Maps Platform.

In addition to the excellent reply from @sparekh , I would like to add that there are two more ways you can share locations with family and friends. When on a place’s page you can hit Share and copy the URL. This can be shared in a lot of different ways including email, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc.

Also, you can make a collection of places on a list and then share the link to this list with your friends.

No app can ever be perfect. Evolution is a constant process. If there isn’t any scope for changes in Maps, we can exit the LG program.

Your first statement, I guess relates to the same imperfection.
However, in certain regions, if the crowdsourcing starts creating more damage through spamming, that activity gets locked.

Location sharing with family and friends is a great feature in Maps. It’s surprising, how did you miss to know that! Nevertheless, access to the location sharing option is now through a click on the profile icon.

The help menu is also relocated to the profile icon. However, the primary function of the app is to show a map around you that doesn’t need any explanation and offer navigation which is abundantly clear at the GO symbol.
