Wow, what a wonderful experience. While visiting my parents in Phoenix, Arizona last year, we did so much site seeing that I needed a vacation when I got home from my vacation. We didn’t stop moving until we got back to the airport. Seriously, we started with a road trip to see the Grand Canyon, on the way we saw the London Bridge and ate at a restaurant right next to it, then we headed to this (can’t even call it a town) it was a bar that had these crazy bar stools, then on to a small town with wild donkeys. We stayed overnight in a town outside of the Grand Canyon by about half an hour. It was a cool, they had a train you could have bought tickets for and ridden in to the Grand Canyon. Then the next morning it was on to the Grand Canyon. What an amazing site, what a thrill to see the amazing colors and the experience is one I will never forget. We then made our way back to Phoenix via Flagstaff, was so fun to see snow in Arizona. We didn’t stop there, we took it easy on Sunday. We went to church and then to the outdoor market, and swimming. Then I don’t remember exactly what we did in what order, but I think we went to Tombstone. We had so much fun learning about the history and stories, the shootout and the cemetery. Then the next day was a mini car museum, Queen Creek olive oil place. Make some very unique and interesting condiments and oils. Then the next day was a state park, with Indian ruins. It was very interesting and had fun learning about all the different things they did to survive in the Arizona heat. Then on my last day, we went to the mystery mansion and another state park (mountain above mystery mansion). We drove up to the lookout and got to see the entire Phoenix Valley. Can’t wait to go back again, so much more to see, like Sedona and airplane graveyard and so much more. I hope someday to move to Show Low, Arizona. It is such a unique town up in the white mountains.
