The traditional and cultural heritage of Rajasthan is as unique as architecture, sculpture and painting. Puppets show is loved not only by children but also by elders. This museum is situated before the Gadisar Lake.
In this desert cultural center visitors may enjoy the numerous collections of Regional musical instruments, ancient coins, utensils, royal custumes, arms, regional traditional custumes, opium boxes, puppets, handcrafted items, fossils etc at an affordable entry fee. This museum is founded by Dr. NK Sharma ( Dr. Nand Kishore Sharma) who is a National Awardee for his contributions in the field of conserving the traditional Rajsthani music instruments, literature, ancient and medieval coins, paintings, etc and live colorful puppets as puppets are the ancient art of Rajasthan. He is a renowned Naturopath and he is dedicated to the traditional and cultural life in desert. He is author of many books as Prakaratik Ahar ke Chamatkar means the miracle of natural food, Way of Life in Desert etc. Museum visit remain under the guidance of Dr NK Sharma who is able to explain the complete history. He is a great Marionettist too. Two Puppets shows are organised under his supervision and he himself also host the show. One show is in the Hindi and other in English so mostly tourists are attending this show. And it’s a major attraction among all tourists.
It needs about one and half hour to enjoy the show and to understand the desert culture through the priceless Collection which are displayed in the adjacent museum. Nearest attraction is Gadisar Lake and it’s a major attraction among the history buffs wanderers soulseekers heritage art and culture lovers.
