Desert Botanical Garden #StateChallenge Arizona

I visited this Desert Botanical Garden on my trip to Phoenix. This is really a huge garden around 140 Acres is size and houses more than 50,000 plants. You can see the Cactus one you see on Arizona State license plate.

There are so many varieties of Cacti in this botanical garden. Most of them are labeled, if you want to know more about the plant.

Garden is generally busy, many people visit the garden. It is very well maintained. There is a gift shop and library in the Desert Botanical garden.

Cactus are mostly with thorns, in fact flowering cacti are interestingly pretty. There so many unique flowers from Cacti.

Phoenix can get really hot in summer, so pick a season where you don’t have to deal with 110+ degrees, since you have to easily spend 2+ hours in the garden.

Here are more pictures from the garden. I highly recommend to visit this garden if you have a chance to visit Phoenix.

@Sophia_Cambodia Antilope Canyon is around 280 miles from Phoenix, so not very close, around 4.5 hours drive.

110+ degrees? Wow… I can’t imagine how hot it is @jayasimha78 :fire_engine: :fire_engine:

Thanks for sharing this place. Now I get another place in Arizona besides Sonoran Desert National Monument to see the big cactus in a closer look.
